  1. "Pass the Ring"
There is a ring on a cord. All get into a circle and catch the cord. Paddy is in the centre of the ? He ? turn round three times with his eyes closed until the ring has been passed round. Then he may look and all sing-
"Paddy from Cork had never been
Never a railway train had seen
Never had seen the great machine
    That travels alongn the railway"
    (or this alternative)
"Little Betty Bimble has lost her silver thimble
    Where ever can it be
    Ask your friends about it
    She cannot sew without it
    Where ever can it be
The one whose hands ? over it
    Must at once restore it
    Lo round the circle go"
This tune is sung twice. Then all stand quietly. The one in the centre points to whoever has the ring. This person must show his hands. If the ring is there he must go in the centre. If its not there the person must remain in the centre for another time.
