  1. This story was told by Mrs Bob McKinley No 9 St Columba avenue, Buncrana, Co. Donegal. Ireland Age 60
Once upon a time two men were in love with this girl. The girl could not think which of them she would marry, because they were very small. She wanted a tall man. One day one of the men named Pat went for a walk while he was walking along the road, he heard some people singing Monday, Tuesday, the fairies were so pleased with him improving their song because he sang Monday, Thursday, and Wednesday. The fairies were so pleased they asked him what they do for him. He asked them to make him big, and so they made him big. His friend heard about this and he went down to the place and they were singing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, he sang Thursday, and they all took stones and stoned him to death for destroying their song.
