  1. Long long ago there was a woman who had three sons. One was very weak and he stayed in bed for twenty one years. At the end of this time his mother told him to get up that it was time for him to earn his living, and when he turned in the bed he knocked down the sidewall of the house and then he put it in its place again. Then he went to bed for three years. At the end of that time he got up again and his mother made an oatmeal cake for him and sent him out to earn his living. He asked her what would he say to the people he met and she told him to say "What is going down that it may never come up?" This was in the Spring of the year
