    Ní bhíodh aon fheoil aca, acht corr-uair nuair a marbhuightí coileach ag duine de na comarsan thugadh píosa de do chomharsanaibh eile.
    Ní raibh aon ghréithre aca mar atá anois. Soitheach déanta d'ádhmad agus lámh ar a dhá thaobh de a bhí aca. "Noggin" a tugtaoi air.
