  1. There is one holy well in the district.
    It is in a field owned by John Creahan of Castle Bellew. It is in the townland of BaileGatta.
    It is visited by all the village people and by many of the parishioners on the three last Sundays of July. Rounds are performed. Each person goes around the tree seven times walking and once on their knees saying seven Our Fathers, seven Hail Marys and seven Glory be to the Fathers at each round.
    There is a story told about it.
