    She awoke next morning but could find no trace of the missing animal. On examining the place she found marks that prompted her to travel up Bóthar Garbh across to Claodac where she overtook the thief.

  2. There was a woman living in our townland some years ago. In her dying bed she said - no stranger was to sleep in her bed. One night the servant boy slept in it and in the middle of the night a red-haired woman appeared who looked at him angrily.
    She caught the boy and threw him inside the bed. He took no notice of this as he thought it was all a dream. When he awoke in the morning he was lying in an unconscious state on the floor inside the bed.
