  1. "The lore of certain days"
The following rhymes are said about births and marriages.
Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child has far to go.
Thursday's child is full of woe.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
A child born on the Sabbath day is bonny, happy and gay.
    Monday for health.
    Tuesday for wealth.
    Wednesday the best day all.
    Thursday for losses.
    Friday for crosses.
    Saturday no day at all.
    Veronica Eiffe.
