  1. I remember to see races in Bulgan ‘tis over seventy years ago. ‘Twas the common jockeys they were in them days. The two best jockeys around this county were Siggins and Moore and Hall.
    When they’d start off in the race the jockeys used to lay at each other with ash plants and they on the horses; and when they’d get down at the box they’d start off to fight like devils.
