    Later on they started to use the scythes.
    They used have a little pouch by the side with the stone and they could stop and call for a whet (to put up the edge) any time they liked.
    They also had the rifle attached to the handle of the scythe and they could put up the edge with that as often as they liked. They had no rules about doing certain number of swarths with wan edge.
