- I live on a farm two miles outside the town of Castleblayney. There are many animals required on a farm, such as a horse, sheep, cows, and pigs. The horse gets ready the ground to put in the crop, and helps to take it out, and he also draws home the goods required. Then the cow gives us the milk, which cannot be done without. It is also from the cow's milk we get the butter.
There are six cows on our farm. Some people have names on their cows. We have none on our cows. When I am driving the cows out to the field, or taking them home I say, How! How!
