    Some of them have fiddles or violins, and melodians. On fair days they play in the streets and the people give them money. They play tricks in the streets also to get money.
    When they come to a house they ask for a night's lodging. In some places they get a night's lodging. They stay for one night only, and they generally sleep in a corner of the kitchen, and some travellers get a place in some out-house to sleep in.
    They usually have food with them. When they are sleeping in a house, the owners of the house give them food for the time they stay.
