The customs on wedding days about here are to throw rice and confettee on the bride and groom also to tie an old shoe to the motors. There is generally a feast held in the home after the wedding before they go on their honey moon. there is always a recepition held in the groom's house when they come home.
Then the straw boys come and dance. The bride generally dresses in white (ont) and carries a bunch of flowers the groom generally puts blue on and wears a piece of heather button hole for luck.
