    rings which are built of clay. The rings increase in height as they go out from the centre. The outer ring is covered with shrubbery. Larger trees, lime trees, hazel, chestnut and alder grow around the fort and make it very picturesque.
    Liseveney is the name of the fort. It is from this fort the town land derived its name.
    Lios - Aoibhinn ; or the beautiful fort. From Liseveney fort there are four forts plainly visible on a clear summer's day. they are: Lissevaner, Killygany, Lisnagoneway, Lisna Lough.
