  1. Our cows are three in number, they are called Bawny (a white cow), the boruadh (a red cow) and the spotted cow. The cows are tied by a chain which is fastened to a stake.
    When a person enters the byre and a person is milking there they say;
    "God bless the work." If they did not use this greeting and anything happened the cow it would be said that the visitor cast the evil eye at the cow, meaning that the visitor did not wish the
