- There are two forges in the parish Raffertys, Drumm's forge. Paddy Rafferty has two forges on at Tanmacnally at his own home and one in Rockcorry village.
Drumm's forge was owned by people of that name, the family died out and a man by the name of Curran bought the house and surrounding land. Drumms family had been Smiths for the past hundred years. Their forge was situated along the by road leading from the monument to the Black Shesh.
Tanmacnally forge is not too large. The door is made of iron and is in two halves opening from the centre. There is only one fireplace within(continues on next page)- Collector
