    From Inniskeen that morning
    The Crowd was something vast
    Some hundreds came on bicycles
    While thousands onwards passed
And beat records the McFinn's that day
Were seen lined out to play
The Grattans from the shades of Inniskeen.

    Full of confidence and victory
    Cavan went out to win;
And up the field like lightning speed,
    The pressure did begin.
Between the sticks, the goal man caught
    And passed to Mickey Louth,
And as he ran along the line
To the cheering of the crowd.
    he shot a point . --
    The McFinn's they pressed again
    While Moore relieved the pressure
    And McGahans of the Fane.
    IV
He made no mistake in scoring
While James Meegan did the same
Well aided by his brother Owen
    And Daly of great fame.
