    Murphy of Moulerstown was a good mower he used to mow about one and a half acres in a day. Tommy Freyne of Kilbride lifted the Kilbride stone.

  2. In olden times the people of this locality used to jump for sport across a stream which is now called the Áth. The part of the stream that they used to jump across was about twenty-three feet wide. The best jumper there was known as Marks Walsh who is now about eighty-three years old.
