  1. Local Cures.
    My grandmother Mrs Delia O'Keeffe told me some cures for the whooping cough.
    She said if you gave a ferret milk until he would leave it after him and give the ferret;s leavings to the child with the whooping cough. She said that the milk would cure her.
    She also told me another cure for the whooping cough. If you had a hungry cat in the house when the child would be vomiting and get the cat to drink the vomit. She said the cat would take the whooping cough and the child would get better.
    She also told me a cure for a tooth ache. She said there is an old skull in the walls of the Church in Termonbarry and if you had a tooth-ache
