- Churning
We have a churn at home. It is an upright churn. It holds 20 gallons of milk. It is 3 feet high and the circumference is a foot and a half. There is a hole in the lid which the dash comes through.
It was made by a cooper 18 years ago. When we are churning we pull the dash up and down. When it is churned the butter comes on the joggler. The dash comes up a foot and a half over the lid. We churn once a week.Florrie Hoare,
