- The following are said to be the three most airy places in the island:-Brághaid Na Maoile, ( Near the Dursey Head )Báinín Carraig Fhiachne, ( On the north side of Cill Mhichíl near Faill Bhóluis )Caladh na mBó ( The place around the Bán where they ferry out the cattle )
It is said that they used play football back in Brághaid na Maoile.

When they were building the Lighthouse back at the Dursey Head, a boat went back the south side of the island with a load for the building. When it got back outside Brághaid na Maoile they saw six horses going back towards the Light-house, one after another, and loads on them. There was no horse from the island but one drawing the same day. They landed their boat-load back at a place called " Pluicí, " but they saw no more of the horses.- Collector
