- There are two forges in Cloneen. One of them is a disused forge and the other is a newly made forge. It is the property of Ned Gleeson. It is situated a few hundred (sic) yards from the village on the Clonmel road. Ot is roofed with timber and covered with felt. There is one fire place in it and the coal is kept lighting with a big bellows which is worked with the hand. The smith does all his work in the forge, such as shoeing horses, and(continues on next page)
