    The sun-kiss-d holy wells
    Where fairies dwell and weave a spell
    Beside the laughing rills
    There' is home, sweet home, where roses roam.
    And sprinkle perfume on
    That valley fair or beauty rare
    Around old Sliabh-na mban.

    Ah, me tis bliss to kneel and kiss
    Those hallow'd spots of old;
    And feel the sod where heroes trod
    A Carpet spun of gold.
    I feel with joy once more a boy
    I bid dull care begone
