- There is a Well at Paughanstown called "Trinity Well". There was a patron held at this well years ago and all sorts of amusements were there. It is said this patron was held on the feast of the Blessed Trinity. The people used to take bottles of water from this well home with them. There is a bush over the well and anyone who went to it tied something belonging to them on it.
At the patron also wrestling was carried on and much blood was spilled there. - It is said that St.(continues on next page)
