  1. Fairs locally are held in the Main St. Dunleer.
    People often transact business in the county at Cross roads, and also at farmer's houses.
    Long-ago, there used to be a fair held at Ward's Hill in Dromin which was the chief centre of the parish at that time. All the other fairs during the year are held just the same as ever. The chief reason why the one at Ward's Hill is not held now is, because now Dunleer is on the Main road from Dublin to Belfast and it is also on the Main branch of the Railway.
    People who come from any place by Bus can get off at Dunleer and it would be out of their way to go out to Ward's Hill.
