    The Sunday after shrove salt is put the girls so that they will keep till the next year.
    When the marriage party was coming home candles were left lighted on the windows that they passed on the way home.
    When poor people were getting married and if they were not able to buy a ring they would bring the key of the door.
    He also recited this verse,
    Something old,
    Something new,
    Something borrowed or
    Something blue.
    He also told me that when the marriage feast was in progress boys would come to the house as "strawboys" and dance with the bride.
