The landlords were Brook and de Vesi and the people made up a rhyme which went like this -
"From Croghan to Portchester lower,
Brook and Vesi evermore."The latter part of this was obtained (from "Croghan village etc.) from Mrs Grange (Aged 82)(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
