    master in Killenard school from the time of its foundation until his death. He lived with his relatives and friends. Mrs Hoey who held the position of school mistress there for a time, lived in a small house beside the school. She was replaced by Miss Dalton who when she resigned was replaced by Miss Moran a native of Portarlington. School commenced here at ten o clock and ended at three o clock in the evening. The subjects taught were English, Geography, Arithmetic and religious instruction which was
