- We generally sow two acres of potatoes. We plough and cross plough it and we harrow it down. The drills are made and we cart out the manure and spread it in the drills. We put artificial manure over this. We plants the potatoes a foot apart. This done we get our horses and double mould board plough and mould them up. That finishes the sowing of the potatoes.
