    A Mhaighdean Mhuire Máthair Dé,
    Soillse glórmhar gan smál,
    Coinneál, lóchrann Flaitheas Dé
Guidh orainn anois agus ar uair ar mbáis.
    Amén

    Ag fagáil an séipéil duit:-
    Farewell to thee O Mary,
    Farewell my Christ to Thee,
Keep Thou my soul in safety,
    Till here again I be,
Farewell to Thee O House of God,
    Its grace with us remain,
Its blessings part not from each heart
    Till here again I be

    Ag éirghe duit:-
I arise from this bed for the love of Thee,
Who didst die on the cross for the love of me

In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ Crucified
I lay me down to rest, Bless me O Lord,
Defend and govern me and after this short and miserable pilgrimage bring me to life Everlasting
    Amen
