rob bird's nests that they have bad luck.
The weather can be judged by the behaviour of certain birds. The curlews shout for rain. Swallows fly low when rain is near. When the lark sings it is for good weather. When the swallows come back early, the summer is near.
There was a saint and his enemies wanted to kill him and he went to a hiding place, and a robin came along and covered him from his enemy and the saint cut his finger and put blood on the robin's breast, and said that those that would come after her would always have a red breast.
The birds are supposed to speak to one another in their own language when calling.
