    the bridge was very steep, and during the Famine people dug soil and stones off the top of it, and filled up the hollow, and made the bridge over the river. They did not get any money for doing this, they got food.
    There is an old road in the school district, it is very hilly and it leads to a new road to Granard.
    People played skittles and held dances, and tossed pennies at crossroads in olden times. There is a path and a lane from the Cavan Road to the Bog road and some people go that way instead of using either of the roads.
