  1. Scutch-grass, thistles and buachalan buidhe are the most harmful weeds in our farm. Scutch - grass is harmful because it spreads rapidly but the thistles, and buachalan buidhe are harmful because they impoverish the soil. There are no herbs in our district known to grow only in woodland, but rushes grow only in poor land.
    Salentine, dandelion, fairyfingers, garlic, bogbam, white-lilyrots, comfrey, golden-rod, hearts-ease, and docks are herbs.
    Salentine was used to cure sore eyes, it was pounded and the juice was used. Dandelion was used to cure bad kidneys, but I do not know how it was used. Fairyfingers were used to cure a bad heart. Garlic
