   Long ago there were no doctors and the old people were as good as doctors. 1. If a person had a sore neck and if they lived near a Blessed Well they should visit the well six days in succession and bring a piece of the moss and put it up to their neck at night. This cure they had if ring worm appear in cattle. If ring worm would appear on a calf the affected parts should be scrubbed with a hard brush using hot water in which washing soda at the rate of one pound should be used to one gallon of water disolved.
