An Old Story
“At one time a man by the name of John Healy was putting in panes of glass in the Lixnaw Convent....”
At one time a man by the name of John Healy was putting in panes of glass in the Lixnaw Convent and every day when he would go to the dinner he would get a glass of whiskey. One day when the Reverend Mother was giving John the whiskey she said "every time you drink a glass of whiskey you put a nail in your coffin" well said John "as you have the hammer in your hand drive another one". This story was told to me by my father.- Collector
