  1. Tops were made long ago in the houses at home out of a spool in which tread was twisted. The spool had to be pared and then a bit of steel stuck through the centre of it so as to make it spin.
    An elder gun is made by getting an elder stick about four ins long and scooping the pith out of it. Then get a piece of rubber and tie one end of it to the elder and the other end to a stick the same length as the elder. Then put in a stone to the hole in the elder and when you strain the
