  1. In the neighbourhood where I live there lives a man famous for his great strength as a weight thrower. His name is Jeremiah Dee. He was also a great foot-baller and hurler and saved several people from drowning.
    In Greenville there was a field specially laid out for sports, foot-ball matching and horse racing. It is situated at the rear of my home and at one time belonged to Mr Sands, who took a great interest in sports. He presented the winning teams on several occasions with silver cups.
