Kirby has tarbarrels and Canty has felt on the roof. The door of the forge must be high and wide. There is one fire place and a bellows in each forge. He shoes horses and asses. He repairs harrows, pikes, and ploughs. He repairs them. They shoe wheels in the open air. The implements the smith uses are the rasp, pincers, hammer, hoof knife, anvil.
