- There is a church under the water near Ballyheigue and it is called 'Teampall Fe Tuinn' which means the church under the water. Long ago Kerryhead Point, and Brandon were joined together. After a time the sea broke in and it made Ballyheigue Bay. It is said that the Cantillons buried their dead there long ago.
