- There is a church under the sea near Ballyheigue called " Teampall fé Thuinn ". Long ago Kerry Head and Brandon were joined and there was a grave yard a mile from the coast, All the Cantillons, who were lords of Ballyheigue, at that time, used be buried there.Then about a hundred years ago the sea broke in and covered it and made Ballyheigue Bay.
