    they are tossing about in the air it is the sign of a storm. If a crane fly's high it is the sign of fine weather. If the robin comes to the door in winter it is the sign of snow. If the birds are fat in harvest it is the sign of a bad winter. If you see a cat scraping a stick it is the sign of rain. If a cat lies in the sun in February she'll creep to the hearth stone in March. If foxes bark much in October they are calling a great fall of snow. A thick fog on an August morning is the sign of rain.
