The daffodil is a flowering plant. It is in bloom in February and March. It is one of the most picturesque of Spring flowers. It is a very tall flower on a strong stiff stem but like the snowdrop its head droops. It grows to a height of about nine inches. The daffodil grows from a bulb. This bulb is like a small onion and has little roots growing from it.
There are twelve petals altogether on the flower.
