  1. Last August a few companions and myself were able to put into execution a long cherished project of ours to go for a cycling tour. Before we started you may be sure that our bicycles got good looking after. Eight o'clock in the morning saw the four of us well mounted and our friends waving good-bye to us. The first important town we reached on our way was Ballinasloe. We found it to be a good clean town of fine wide streets. It has good markets and fairs, its
