  1. Wild birds are very plentiful in this country. They may be divided into two classes namely those that dwell near the abodes of men especially in Winter time when they gather in about the farmhouses, and the more timid which keep far away from the haunt of men. The former, the robin, crow, blackbird, Swallow, wren, goldfinch, sparrow, jackdaw, and magpie, get very tame in Winter as food is very scarce at that time. The latter are patrige, phesant, snipe, grouse, wild duck, and wild goose.
    These are mostly game birds and are killed for their timid nature. Birds may be divided again into migratory
