Nowadays the people have the opportunity of getting their education free of charge.Far different was the case long ago.The children had to get their education out by the ditches and hedges .Schools were not allowed to be built nor the teachers were allowed to teach in schools.Hedge schools were the only existence at that time.
Later small huts and cabins were built .Scholars had to pay a penny each day for what they learned although they were very poor.Scholars came from foreign lands to these hedge schools.They used go from house to house for their support ,these were called the poor scholars.
