    A Story.
    There is a townland joining Gortaveha and Derrafadda known as Derrinavee.There is a man in Gortaveha named John Mc Namara.he is still there to tell the story.He went to visit Paddy Mac in Derradha who was sick.He had to pass the lios going and coming .There was a great fear in this man for he knew there was a real fairy home near him.
    He went all right without getting any fright.He stopped at the house until ten o'clock and then he set out home as he crossed out into his own field above the lios he cracked a match and kindled his pipe ,.All of a sudden the big lake appeared before him so that if he took one more step he was gone right into it.He
