- I had a cow myself. A fine cow she was too. She was just after calfing.
Wan day I was milking her and a woman passed me by.
"Oh," says she, aint she a darlinl."
After that I couldn't get a drop of milk from the cow. Her udder got sore. She got cross, and we could not manager her.
I sent for Jacke Poole and he came.
"Have you a half a crown," says he. "I have," says I, and I handed it to him."
