    him the fright down by the bank of the river. He told them that the moment that they were talking about the man who used the fishing, he saw him close by and he fishing in the river. He asked the other man did he see him and he said that he didn't. He said that he could take his oath that it was the same man as they were talking about and who had been dead for a few years.
    It happened on another occasion that this man was seen , that is. The same man who had been seen at the bank of the river fishing. This mans name was Tom Barry, and when he was alive he was a very bad character and used be always stealing fowl and potatoes and poaching on the rivers. About two or three year after his death there were a couple of men stealing potatoes from a pit which was in the middle of a field. They were working away and not minding
