    Note -
Teapot Cooke (Francis Cooke) of Gortenmore was a well known character free mason Sheriffs bailiff and the dread of the countryside. His mother was Catholic became Protestant and the old people say that the night she died a whirlwind went through the town land knocking down sheds. Some of the shopkeepers in Arva were boycotted on account of supplying Rory with goods. Mr Keith was one of them.
