There was once a man living at Ednamo, who was very fond of playing cards and remained out late at night playing tricks. When he was coming home this night, he met a wee man who stopped him, seized hold of him and said:-I am the fairy
I come from Derry
You mocked me often
And I have you now.Aine Nic Aonguis, Aghaidh-na-mBo, Inis Caoin-Deogha- Faisnéiseoir

One evening as a man was out shooting on the hills in Kiltybegs, he spied three hares a short distance from him. He raised the gun to fire a shot but immediately it fell to the ground. He tried to lift it but couldn't, seeing the hares so bold, he hurried home and returned with his greyhounds. They sniffed about and ran up to the hares but soon were seen to stand near them and be content with barking loudly. After a while the hared moved off quietly, the man was able to lift his gun and take his departure.
