    As the military swooped on them one night, some men escaped and Alas, a few of whose names I have gob, were arrested and tried in Belfast in March 1883.
    A large book was found on them -
    "The Crossmaglen Book."
    All of those tried got long terms of imprisonment and some of them died in gaol.

    Owen Corrigan, a bogman,
    Patrick Traynor, at whose hose meetings were held
    Patrick Geogham, at whose house member of the Patriotic Brotherhood were sworn.
    (This was the last survivor of the prisoners and he only died about 1936 R. I. P.). He lived in Aughamullen Parish.
    Denis Pugent,
    Joseph Daly, Kilmurry, Inniskeen. One of his sons still lives.
    Thomas Kelly, Blackstaff, Inniskeen.
